The productivity improvement and excellence center announced that the country's economy should be increased by turning creative ideas into services.
The center is conducting national technical and vocational studies and research conferences.
The purpose of the conference is to enable the center to exchange experience with various universities and researchers and to work together, said Frew Amen, the head dean of the center.
Research articles related to creative ideas were presented at the conference, and it is believed that these researches will solve the problems of the society, said the Chief Dean.
He added that the results of the studies will be used as input for policy and can be implemented.
The chief dean said that the center is working on job creation and business and technology incubation. He said that it is being done for trainees from technical and vocational institutions to enter the center and make them competitive in the market.
The General Manager of the Institute of Policy Studies, Prof. Yene Petros, said that extensive task-oriented training should be provided to create skilled youth.
For this, he stated that competent schools and modern equipment supported by technology are needed, and he cited countries that have developed in technical and vocational research and research as an example.
Professor Yene pointed out that industries and investors should work together to turn innovative ideas into action.
Productivity Improvement and Center of Excellence have signed a memorandum of understanding with Jimma University to work together in education and research.
